CODE 14 IAC are they all interchangeable or do i have to get one for my motor?

CODE 14 IAC are they all interchangeable or do i have to get one for my motor?
right now i have a check engine light for the iac and i was wondering if i could use any iac from any motor like a b18 or h22 and have it still work thanks (I have a d16y8 97' converted to obdI)
