Default Code 1337 & CKF Bypass Method

I own a 1998 Honda Civic LX and ONE of the two of the wires of the CKF sensor was chewed through by a squirrel. I tried the CKF Bypass Method, but I still have the CEL (code = P1337). Do I need to unhook the CKF sensor or cut the wire entirely for this to work?

Thanks

I would unhook the sensor, why not just repair the wire? Also did you reset your ECU?

I already did the CKF Bypass Method before I knew the wire was broken (so the wires have already been spliced / cut) - I have cleared the code using a scanner and dis-connected the battery

I'll try to disconnect the sensor and see if the CKF Bypass Method works

I am experiencing this same issue. I have just swapped a JDM into my CRV - performed the updated CKF Bypass Method, and am still having the Code.

Can this cause my CRV to run like crap?? No Power, etc?

.:FFS TechNet : CKF Bypass Trick :.

EDIT: I have watched some videos, found that I cut the wires on the incorrect side of the quick-splice. At least that is an easy fix. Hopefully this will solve my issues. We'll know tonight!

Did you do the bypass at the ECM? If so, then something else got screwed up in the wiring (squirrel). If you did the bypass in the engine bay, remove it and go back to the ecm.

I found my issue - the jumper blocks are crap. I've since done it the 'right way' and made proper, soldered jumped connections. The 1337 code is gone now. Unfortunately, the car till runs like crap.
No CEL codes.
After the car is warmed up, if I come to a stop, the car drops idle and nearly stalls, sometimes does. I can give it little or lots of pedal and the revs don't go up. This leads me to the understanding that it isn't a transmission or torque converter problem. If it was that, if I WOT, the revs would shoot for the sky but it wouldn't go anywhere, in this case, the trans WANTS to go places, but with WOT the revs don't go up at all.
The only time it drives ''normally' is when it's still cold and the revs are still in the high, warm up mode.
Any thoughts?
