INTO the intake manifold??
Thats a very bad idea.....

Personally, I am against all co2 sprays under the hood and even on fmic, since the gas can still get into the engine and decrease power or even shut it off completely.
CO2 is bad for engines...I dont care what people say, its a fact.

he must be talking about spraying it on the manifold to cool it down. probably a total waste of time.

I can't imagine anyone would spray in the manifold...but who knows, it is HT

Even still, that puts co2 floating around the bay, and can be sucked inside through the air filter. = Bad
If any thing, use n2o

I agree. I bet you could stall your motor or worse by inhaling too much co2, it hinders combustion pretty well

That it? CryO2

It doesnt matter. Think about what combustion needs - o2. CO2 will suffocate the engine if it gets inside.

guys the co2 doesn't ever make it into the intake manifold.....

"The CryO² Air Intake consists of an aerodynamically designed bulb with a cryogenic chamber which is mounted in a 4" segment of air tube. The air passes over the bulb, heat is removed from the air charge"....

the bulb looks like a water droplet and co2 flows in and out therefor acting like a cooler basically like having a icecube in your intake , i don't see this as being very efficient

do more research on what they called "water injection" they had back in the 60's. they use water to not only cool the intercooler, or intake manifold, but spray it into the motor. Theres your starting point.

Water = H2O
Carbon Dioxide = CO2

Completely different animals. Water injection, by the way, is still alive and well. My roommate has it on his Typhoon and it knocks about two tenths of his quarter mile time when he uses it.

If water injection is good enough for FIA World Rally team, it ought to work in my Honda. Just my $.02

Thats about as useful as a mid-engine front wheel drive car.

Im sure it works and Im sure it can be measured. I mean its a very simple concept. you introduce something cold into the path of the air going past it and it WILL cool the air, no question about it. Thermal dynamics doesnt play favorites. however the power increase is not going to be all that great and the benefit would not outweight the cost. mabe if you had like 5 of the attachments in a row you would see a significant temprature difference but again I bring up the issue of cost.

Spend a few extra and buy nitrous. Much better and noticeable power gain. You could run a 50 shot all day long. And be just fine. I have been using it for years and have had no problems. As long as it is hooked up correctly.

Wish my wife would let me put it on her Odyssey.

i agree NO2 is much safer and if it doesnt get injested into the motor it will only help lol, and CO2 could major hurt the components...
