I have a 99 (CND) SiR with 100k (60miles) on the odometer.

Okay, so I'm coming home tonight and am driving a little on the aggresive side (on a curvy road by my house)...All of the sudden, engine boggs...I take it out of gear and start to coast...the motor starts running below 500rpms all of the sudden dies. I didn't hear any pinging nor did I experience anything out of the extraordinary before this happened...

It turns over but won't fire. Also, it seems to be turning and briefly
running rough and bogging. I didn't want to keep turning it over just incase the timing belt snapped and im doing more damage.

Any ideas?... I've been frantically using the search feature...I have yet to pull the
valve cover to check the timing belt.

check little things like rotor and cap ?

I didn't have a chance to check...my brother is coming over with the tools and we need to push it back from the gas station to my house, so i'll be checking it out shortly.

check rotor, fuel pump, ignition, alternator

It's all good!!!

The rotor is shattered!! Is there any reason for that happening besides just age? I'm going to replace the cap tomorrow morning. Couldn't see if anything could have caused it (too dark out), any ideas?

They aren't kidding when they say to replace it every 100k (60miles)! First hand
experience.
