clutch slipping after driving through puddle??
okay so heres the scenario...
98 civic EX manual......im lowered and i have a CAI. so when i realized the road i was on was flooded, i freaked. i got to a dry area behind the big puddle(about 50 feet of dryness),brought 1st gear to redline, turned my car off, and coasted through the puddle to avoid hydrolocking. that only got me halfway thru the puddle. i pushed the car out and drove it home fine. 2 days later, im realizing that my clutch is slipping occasionally. il be in second gear around 3000rpm and itl bog down although im giving it gas, then shoot up. its only occasional; 1 slip every 45 mins of driving or so.
the clutch/flywheel is new,OEM as well. just installed less than 2000 miles ago. maybe it got wet and it needs to dry? did i f**k my new clutch up already? im going to check fluid level tomorrow.

Re: clutch slipping after driving through puddle??
i found out the problem (for those maybe asking the same question)
so i found out that it wasn't my clutch, but i was infact having a misfire coming from the distributer. i checked my ignition coil, and the spring was warped. it was def related to that b/c i pulled it out and i saw water damage. replaced it, and the car runs good again!
