No, it must be the way it is.
You can grind some of the bleed screw off if you have to.
I had to do this to make my turbo fit.

that turbo just doesn't fit at all, I see you had to grind down some of the block to even fit it in there, try a different manifold

You could grind some of the slave cylinder housing down so that you can fit a silicone coupling over the turbo inlet, and using a mandrel bent donut from roadraceengineering.com (it has the tightest bend you can get) you can make an intake that routes away from the slave cylinder.
Option two, use screen mesh clamped over the inlet. I run mine this way, daily driven, even in the rain. I intend to sometime make a intake arm so tha I can run a filter.
Option three
as said before, get another manifold.
I may have one of the mandrel bent donuts if interested.

Re: (civic_driver)
what if you replaced the hard clutch going to the slave cylinder with a braied stainles steel line so you can bend it out of the way.
to help more get a angled fiting on it.
this might cut down on the angles you will need to make on the intake pipe

Re: (RACEPAK)
OK, what if you just got a long coupling and used that to get around the slave, then attach you piping + air filter after the slave? It would still have a kink in it though.
You can't rotate the slave like 90degrees?
