Default clutch release bearing question???

I was out saturday night and I started hearing a knocking well it was coming from the transmission so what i did was I pushing the clutch pedal in and it was gone let it out noise from hell again. Does a bad clutch release bearing wear out a clutch? I bet it probaly does but I really dont want to have to change it out because dropping the tranny and all. What are you guys doing to make the transmission like how do I say when I take mine off what is the easiest way to get a tranmission back on with not killing yours arms and your back and all. thanks

Mark

the easiest way is to have honda do it, its the easiest for you, but not gonna be light on you wallet. before i swapped out the motor on my EF (r.i.p) it had the same problem. but it didnt make a knocking noise, it was more like sandpaper being slid across a would table(if you can imagine how that sounds). i tried a transmission flush, the noise quieted down, but was still there. i never really fixed the problem, becuase i just swapped motors for a B-series. I guess the easiest way to get it dont is if you have plent of tools. especialy an air compressor, a few hydro jacks, and if you can a good freind to help you get it done quicker. it would or could take you the whole day, i didnt a tanny on a 93 nissan sentra, it took a while, you'll need to be patient. hope that info might've helped. if you need more specific questions feel free to ask

yeah the last time I did it, It took like 2 days to do it what My mechanic told me was to take the tranny off and to bolt it back up just drop the car and lower the car near the ground and wiggle the tranny back up seems easy I am going to try that. but either its the tranny or the clutch release bearing.

Input Shaft Bearing, inside the tranny.

Throwout bearing makes and scary noise. I heard my first last month, after 10 years of Hondas.

Once you have the tranny out, all the work will be easier, just let us know how everything turns out, it was the throwout bearing in my older ef, once I had the tranny out, all you have to do is pull out the clucth and put the bearing in correctly. Good luck

no I dont have to pull the clutch out its just the bearing thats off the release shaft off of the slave cylinder but I cant even get the tranny off now it probaly wont be for a long time. I broke 4 19mm sockets trying to get the rear transmission braket bolts off and crap and I dont have anymore tools now so I have to find someone with a aircompressor if not then I will have to wait till christmas then. this really sucks now. oh well life goes on.
