clutch question, worn or not?
94 civic hatch cx. jdm d16a with ex/si tranny.
i reused the clutch when i swap my motor. the original miles on the old motor was about 190k. when i took the clutch out(iono if it's ever been changed) i look at it adn it looks very thin indeed, but i had no money to change it so i use it ne ways. it ran fine, no problems. but one day i was carrying a full load of people in my car i felt my clutch slip a few times. few days after that it ran fine again. then one night i race my friend and it slip once and might of burn, i'm not sure.
qustion is now it runs fine again, doesn't slip, just mainly i feel a great power lost, is it the clutch or my motor? the motor is a jdm d16a sohc vtec. it has about 35k on it and i open the valve cover once and its very clean, so its a pretty new motor.

Re: clutch question, worn or not? (lv6l)
well, it most obviously is the clutch because your engine appears to be fine. You should have replaced the clutch back then cause now ur gonna have to replace it. U said with many peeps in the car, made it slip. Its "normal" (for the condition of ur clutch being) because the engine is under a lot bigger load, which made it slip. Its easier to understand if u know what a clutch does, so if you dont, disregard what I just said and get a new clutch. Good luck.
