yeah that is true, its kind of an odd question though most people just swap that stuff out. im starting to think nobody does anything to the d15 motors. i want to be one of the few.. my out look is if it aint broke dont fix it. but its deff broken lol. i just want to replace what breaks with better stuff. thanks

You can get the Exedy OEM replacement for under $100 on eBay. Or get a Stage 1 which is $200-$300.
http://www.clutchcityonline.com has the part numbers and you could order from them if you dont trust ebay or look in the classifieds under forum sponsors.

what is a good weight for the flywheel? and what are the pros and cons to a heavy or light fly wheel?

Re: clutch question... (MeGotRoundEye)
the stock flywheel weighs somewhere around 14ish lbs? thats just a guess however. the benefits of running a lighter than stock flywheel are being able to rev higher faster (less centrifugal force). the drawbacks of a lightened flywheel is the chance of your car bogging in between shifts.
since there is less weight on the flywheel itself, allowing it to spin faster sooner, it also has less mass to keep itself spinning at the same speed. hence, when you shift gears, your RPMs may drop quickly, resulting in a rougher ride.

go with a fidanza 2.3 and a fidanza 8lb flywheel.
i have had the exedy stage 2 and the fidanza 3.2 and the fidanza clutch is way sweeter. although if you want it cheap then exedy off ebay is the way to go.
http://www.ultrarev.com they sell the fidanza clutches if ur interested.

Re: (space6977)
thank you guys i have no problem spending the money on something like this seeing as how it has to be fixed anyway, i think ive made up my mind. thanks again for the help. and thanks for not just telling me to swap the motor out lol.
p.s. do you think a 6 pound flywheel would make for a ruff ride? i was looking at the zex flywheel. with the exedy stage 1 clutch.
