Re: clutch problems
what brand clutch also? i only use oem clutches and never had a problem with them. i have 97k miles on the stock clutch right now and its only slipping a little bit in between gears under a hard throttle... blame that to a second gear burnout that decided to slip the clutch instead of the wheels

eek ^ there was a guy a few years ago at Mopar in his srt-4 that did a similar thing. only he didn't realize the tires weren't moving and kept revving the engine until the transmission/clutch exploded, shooting orange glowing shrapnel all over the parking lot

Re: clutch problems
luckily mine didn't go that far. i smelt the "burning brake pad" smell and shut down right then. and OMG was the clutch bad for about a month. it glazed all to hell. but still its going strong. at least it only takes about 4 hours to replace a clutch when it finally goes. and at the same time will be my z6/si tranny swap. if not a DOHC ZC or D16A9 (ya i know, same engine)
