clutch problem

clutch problem
what up HT i just bought a coupe n the clutch catches so low that i dont even have to raise my foot too start going n its very very very hard to put the car into gear do you guys think i have to bleed the clutch? or it just have to be replaced
ps. its a 1998 d16y7 non vtec motor
help

uugh, When my clutch wore out it deff didnt grab hard at the bottom. it didnt grab period. Id check bleeding the lines and such before changing clutches...cause mien deff didnt act like that, and i have a d16z6.

If the clutch is hard to push in and catches at the floor, that sounds like a brand new stage 2+ racing clutch, not a worn one.
If it were in fact worn, it wouldnt catch until the clutch was completely all the way up, and it would be floppy and soft like a sponge.

noo the clutch doesnt feel floppy i just bleed the clutch when the car is off feels like a normal clutch until i throw it in gear it catches very low i check the tranny fluidd and it had a lil bit in there it didnt come pouring out only a lil bit did

If the clutch catches that low, as long as its not making any grinding noises (which would be a problem) then you are fine, its just how your clutch catches. Did you recently install an aftermarket one?
