clutch problem.. PICS PICS PICS
OK. this is second topic about the same thing.
I told that u on that, clutch keeps grinding sound when push clutch pedal to the metal.¨
engine B16A..
OK. Today i took transmission off. What I found was, pressureplate plates were hitting the clutch!!! That explains the noise and why gears didn't go in when engine was running and clutch pedal pressed down.
On driving clutch was slippin and it grapped pretty high
How is this possible?
Setup is:
-Jun light weight flywheel
-new, Stock clutch
-new, stock pressure plate
-slave cylinder from d16z6
system was bleedes 3 times...
NEED HELP ASAP!! :l

Nope. Everything was bolted right way!
Then all I can doubt is that "pressure bushing" to be wrong?
Shop gave it, so i expected it to be the right one.
Then what about the slave cylinder from d16z6. Is it ok to use that on B16A?

Re: clutch problem.. (ej2civic)
Whoa, hold on...
If your pressure plate is rubbing on the clutch disc springs, then you either have an incorrect disk or pressure plate -OR- if you have the correct parts, then the disc is installed backwards or it was rebuilt backwards (If it is not new).
It would be simple to diagnose if you can get a camera and take pictures of both sides of the clutch disc and a picture of the pressure plate. (Plate side)
I once bought a clutch kit that the pressure plate did this (Correctly installed) It was quite frustrating. The damned thing had "Flywheel side" on the wrong side and rubbed the pressure plate like a mother.
Take some pics and we can help you.
While you are at it, take a pic of that flywheel too, and the front of the release bearing. With these I am sure we can get to the bottom of this...

No, my pressure plate aint rubbing clutch disc spring. IT cant be worng parts cause on the clutch reads B16 and pressure plates bolts on nicely.

The tranny attached to motor right now. cant take pictures.

Re: clutch problem.. (ej2civic)
Are you saying the fingers of the pressureplare are hitting your clutch?
man if that is the situation, go get another clutch. Sounds like your pressure plate is fucked, there is no way the fingers should be able to touch the clutch, even if the disc is installed backwards. It's possible for springs to rub the PP if improperly installed tho.
Get some pics up, this def sounds like an install problem. Unless you have super powers and forced a D-series clutch onto your b16....

Yes Im saying that the fingers are hittin clutch disc. When you look at the clutch disc u can see worn circle(to place that i drawed to pic) that pressure plates fingers have done to it.
And no I havent installed clutch disc improperly.
Everything was bolted up by following service manual.
Oh, and by the way. clutch packet is made by LUK.
Shop is going to call tomorrow(monday) to LUK and ask is this possible..

How can it be wrong clutch if it bolts on very nicely etc. ?
When I give that clutch packet back to the shop. They will send it to importer and they will check is there anything wrong. If they don't find anything from it then they send it to LUK!!! And just guess how long it will take to get my car fixed?!
If they find something is wrong with it. Ill get my money back.
No. Im not getting ripped of big time. I just want my car fixed ASAP!!
What Im afraid of is that, When I put that spoon clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing and It still does the same thing
Im gonna post pics in an hour. stay tuned

My money is on the clutch disk being installed improperly. You can bolt it up wrong and never know it till you push in the clutch. Pull the transmission and flip the clutch disk over and reinstall the transmsiion. If its the right part then that should fix it. But if you have driven it much installed wrong it may have damaged the pressure palte and/or the clutch disk.
