Alright..so about a month ago something went wrong with my old motor...the clutch pedal all of the sudden went completely dead..it was just pretty much hanging there. Some people on here said it could be the slave cylinder or a faulty pressure plate..well i had already ordered a b16 so i figured why fix the prblem when i'm getting a new motor...so today i just connected the shift linkage and the car just needs fluids to run(which i'm doing tomorrow...oil, transmission fluid, coolant) So anyways..the clutch pedal still feels dead. I mean the car hasn't been started yet but the pedal is still dead? normal? do i need pressure in the lines or something for the pedal to come back up to normal height? All help is appreciated..thanks

sometimes you have to pull it back up after the system is bled or lost pressure.

what do you mean by pull..will this automatically happen

By dead, did you mean that when you press it to the floor and it doesn't come back up? or
Did you mean that the pedal was just too low (height wise). It could be that you need to adjust it via that rod that goes from the master cylinder to the clutch pedal.

Cause when my first try at bleeding the clutch line, I stepped on the clutch pedal and it just sank right to the floor and didn't come up until I closed the bleed screw and manually pulled the pedal back up.

oo i mean the pedal is just dead..like it won't come back up unless i pull it up by hand...is it easy to bleed the clutch line ? any other opinions maybe?

yea its real easy just flush the clutch line by pumping the clutch pedal w/ the line open. You should get a lot of large air pockets out this way. Add fluid as necessary, and then close the line and bleed it like normal. This should do the trick. and when ur pumping the pedal be sure to do it slow and evenly, dont just rapid pump that beast or u'll be there forever
basically procedure is this
1) loosen bleeder screw
2) push in clutch pedal
3) tighten screw
4) bring clutch pedal back up
5) meanwhile also checking reservoir to make proper fluid level
6) repeat process until there is no air in line and pedal has pressure

kinda to the left of your exhaust manifold right on the slave cylinder. it has a little end sticking out. it should have a rubber dust cap on it that comes off.
