clutch not releasing

Default clutch not releasing

hi i just bought a 96 ek dx for dirt cheap, from my friend but the only thing wrong with it is the clutch... when i step on the clutch and put in gear, the shifter wont go in 1st gear... it wobble every where... like there is something wrong with the shift linkage, and the clutch wont released after u let the clutch go.. it stick to the firewall... the car starts but would not go in gear.... its a stock d series... i have no idea wats wrong... any advice would be appreciated.... thanks

Possibly clutch master cylinder or slave if the pedal doesn't go up at all. Also could be a jacked up pressure plate. I'd start there if I were you.
