i've got a CM stage 1... the pedal is pretty stiff and the engagement area is pretty short... but it grabs very nicely... i've had it for about 5-7k miles of aggressive tallahassee driving (lots of stop and go and lots of hills) along with about a dozen drag runs on it.... it still chirps second, and doesnt slip.

Re: Clutch Masters stage 1 experience? (TeamNextGenChris)
thanks for the replies!
my current NA sohc setup is making about 150-155whp and 120 lbft (not sure until hondata tune day)...ive had stage 4 in the past on my old juiced build, longevity was an issue with that, however, with this motor, i drove on a stock clutch for about 1.75 years- not bad, so i expect the stage 1 will stand up to my rare drag appearances and barely aggressive daily driving.

Re: Clutch Masters stage 1 experience? (builthatch)
i'va always liked the stage 3-it has a pretty light pedal effort, and grabs about like a stock clutch, but has a ton of holding power.this is what i had in my car and it held up to four years at 12psi.
i would say go with the stage 3 just so you know it'll handle whatever you do,and it's still very driver friendly.on the other hand, the stage 1 is a bit cheaper than the other stages.according to the description,it should hold your current power level fine.
you might also want to check into Clutch Specialties.i used to only use and recommend CM clutch, but a friend of mine tried the CP clutch in his car and i was very surprised by it.it's what i now have in my car-brass puck disc with dual diapraghm pressure plate.it should have a little more holding power than the CM stage 4(which is what i was going to go with),but cost quite a bit less.
Heeltoeauto.com sells them for a good price.they can make a package for whatever power level you have....so far i'm very satisfied with them.
migth be worth checking into.
