Default Clutch line fluid viscosity?

What viscosity fluid do you guys use? i heard that a heavy fluid makes it a bit stiffer, and a light fluid does just the opposite. just wondering what is a good fluid to use, i want my clutch pedal to be stiffer.

Arent you sapossed to use brake fluid in this case not oil? the stiffness would be in how you bleed the system i would think just like the brake system. Then again i could be wrong but using conventional motor oil for this app dosent seem right to me....

that's why you don't own honda this isn't an opinion, it's a fact. It's what honda says goes in their tranny's. I do remember hearing brake fluid too but ask the dealer and you'll hear otherwise.

*edit* you have the engine i want

What the heck are you talking about??? I thought he was referring to what you put in the lines for the clutch which is hydrolic fluid. Aka brake fluid or Atf fluids. As for the tranny yes honda USSED to recomend using motor oil but now they have something just for manual trannys they recomend. Yea my engine sucks tho its tooo slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

dude all i'm saying that i went to the honda dealer like 3 or 4 days ago and asked the dealer transmission fluid or what they recommended for a honda tranny and I got some 10w30 oil right there. I can't remember the grade but that's what it is, I know that their is Honda MTF but they didn't recommend it. I'm just saying facts man chill out

dude, / yourself

he is asking what the viscosity of CLUTCH FLUID (otherwise known as hydraulic fluid) is not what the viscosity of tranny fluid is.

(Honda uses and RECCOMENDS Honda MTF which is nothing but 10w30 with special friction reducers designed especially for brass and hardened materials)

your clutch uses a form of hydraulic fluid.....any DOT 3 or DOT 4 will work just fine in your clutch system, but like said above SUPER BLUE kicks ****

quality control standards....better additives....there are a bunch of things that make a difference on fluids. Just like oil is oil but different manufacturers have better oil because of QC and manufacturing processes

i would think ATE superblue would be unnecessary to use as clutch fluid, by all means if this is what you have lying around use it, but ANY brake fluid will be fine.. you think the clutch goes through the heat and abuse that brakes do?
