Default Clutch Fork

I was driving down the road today and I noticed my clutch pedal suddenly got a lot more travel in it. About 5 miles later I couldn't shift and had to drive w/o the clutch. Now this is an H22 in a 5th gen, but here's my question. I had to readjust the slave cylinder, because it became unaligned with the fork, and when I removed it, I noticed I could move the fork pretty freely. Is this normal or is my for broken?

Default Re: Clutch Fork

the pivot ball broke....happened to me in my b18b with a 6 puck solid act. In my case the release bearing tabs broke, fork bent, pivot ball for the fork in two pieces. My car actually made high pitch squealing for a couple weeks, but i thought i could get away with bending the tabs of the release bearing. I'm still curious to why it happened. Its been a year and the same high pitch sqeal is back. when you find out how to stop it, let me know, I feel like a pro at R&I of my own transmission.

I replaced the release bearing, pivot ball, clutch fork, and spring.
