Default clutch fixed itself????

a little while ago i was having problems w/ my clutch..i think anyways. I stepped on the gas and i would jerk around and revs would go up and car wouldn't go <--clutch slipping right? It did this every day but not every time i switched gears. It usually only did it in 1st and second gear. Maybe im speaking too soon but for the past couple of weeks nothing has been going wrong. Could this be something other than the clutch? or is my clutch just starting to be bad?

That happened to be last week, or the week before.

I got scared cause it was a new clutch (2-3 months old), but it only happened one night where it would just rev and not accelerate, been fine since!

How have you been driving it? Spanking it pretty hard will cause the stock (oem) clutch to slip after some mad launches. lol.

My last 95 coupe did that to me a couple times when I wasnt being real nice to it but everything held together for another 5-6000 miles and after I pulled the motor and trans and put it in someone elses car theyve probably put another 20,000 on it with no problems whatsoever.

what type of clutch should i get? i have no idea about clutches other than there round. someone please help me out. My car is a 94 civic dx w/ d15b7 motor. All stock except for the header. Im planning on getting an exhaust and intake system. I need a clutch that would hold up to the extra horse power im going to be adding. Someone please give me a name and or link to a place where i can buy one that will work for my car with the extra hp. thanks

200 hp, I dont know about that but ill take your word for it. Just get a decent aftermarket clutch like an exedy, clutchmaster, or act so it could hold all your power adders or at least take the abuse. Good Luck

someone correct me if I am wrong but dont hydraulic clutches automatically re-adjust themselves as they wear?

after a few hard launches in mine it seems to get soft but gradually "seems" to get better

as for clutches check out ACT and Excedy and you can look into aftermarket flywheels as well while the clutch is being done.

actually i don't know if its teh clutch anymore...i've noticed every time it was really bad was when it was 80's and up temperature wise. During the days that i drove with high heat my clutch slipped like hell...then that same night i drove it was almost flawless. Same thing with the next days in high heat. I'm not really laounching my car at all maybe a few times here and there. Why would my clutch or overall performance of my car be a lot worse in high heat. Could it be something with oil pressure? My engin temp doesn't go over half way that i've seen
