Default Clutch engaging when pedal is 1/4" from the top

sooo here we go again have a 93 hatch with a b18 have new clutch, new slave cyl, and new master! when i bleed the system my clutch engages about 1in from the floor where its supposed to after about 500 miles of driving which is a week for me it starts engageing about 1/4 in from the top and this was the problem i had when i changed everything it ends up slipping if i dont bleed it again. im not loosing any fluid and cant see any leaks on the line, new master or new slave. ive bled it every way i have seen on this forum the manual way and with my vacum bleeder, has anyone ran into this and or no a solution to the fix im running out of cash and patience! haha

Default Re: same clutch problems help

If you were having hydraulic issues the clutch would start engaging closer to the floor. If its getting higher than it sounds like you're introducing air into the system when you bleed it and within a week the air makes its way to the top of the reservoir effectively the clutch is bleeding itself, if you want it to engage closer to the floor adjust the pushrod on the master cylinder.

so your thinking when it is grabbing close to the floor it has the air in it and when it gets higher it has worked its way out? cuz when i bleed it i have a vacum bleeder on it and i put a little pressure on it and crack the bleeder and i have a snugly fitting hose to the bleeder so air is still being introduced to the system?

Yes. If you were getting air in it later your clutch would be engaging closer to the floor, not further away.
