Default clutch choice

Hello ht. So I am needing to replace my clutch soon and am trying g to decide on what clutch kit to buy. I am not trying to spend more than about 150 or so on it since I will be getting rid of the vehicle soon. It will be for a 95 civic with a d16z6 with intake and exhaust. I have run a exedy stage 1 on my last and loved it but that's more than I want to spend. I was looking on ebay and found a exedy clutch cover and it say a stage 1 disk. I do not believe it is a exedy disk because of the price. My question is, is it the disk or clutch cover that makes the pedal stiffer? Also has on one used one of these two setups and how did they work for you?

Default Re: clutch choice

Clutch cover? For future reference, it's called a pressure plate, and yes, between those two pieces, that's what makes the pedal stiffer or softer. Neither of the kits you linked include an Exedy disc - one is "Premium Series" and the other is XTR. If you read the item description, that's extremely clear.

You get what you pay for.
