Cluster question (again)
Ok question is...I have a 00 civic ex, and want to switch to a 00 si cluster. I know it will plug in, but, since the si cluster says 140, and the ex says 130, and the 60 mph mark is in different locations on the two, will the speed be off by 10 mph or so with the new cluster? or if i plug it in, does it know that it goes to 140 instead of 130?

Re: Cluster question (carboncivic)
It plugs right in.
The speedometers are the same.... if you look at the 60 mph and 130 mph spots, they are in the same locations, only the Si cluster wraps around a little farther and has a faux carbon fiber look to it....

Your cluster will display 8200k as redline, but you will need to keep in mind that you should shift before 7200

The ECU controls your rev limit by fuel cut. If yours is an EX then it should cut at 7200 rpm regardless of your tach.

The speedometers are different. I believe after 60 or 80 MPH (I forgot), the tick marks are not the same. I swapped an Si gauge face on my friend's EX speedometer, and I told him after so and so speed, you'll lose accuracy.
OP: If you plug in the Si cluster, your speedometer will be accurate up to the point of your tire size and how accurate OEM speedometers are. Meaning, you won't have any discrepancies between the EX and Si speedometers.
