Default cluster not working?

we swapped a d16y8 into a 96-98 hatch using a 96-98 dx wiring harness. we printed out the information to help us wire it all up. the car works sort of but it idles realllly low and shuts off. he has to hold the gas down wherever he goes so that it wont **** out on him. anyone know what it could be? mabe the iacv? his whole cluster also doenst work. it lights up but nothing on there works except the gas and the temp guages. can anyone help?

check if the IACV is clogged up, if not that check all vacuum lines for leaks or if it's disconnected

car ran fine with the 99-00 ex harness but i used that since i swapped a gsr in a ek. should work fine since it was just a harness swap unless something with the wiring of it was not done right
