Sorry if these questions have been beaten into the ground....I promise I searched.

I bought a 96 Civic DX with a 2000 GSR swap...the previous owner installed an EX cluster to have a tach...I read somewhere a 99-00 SI cluster is a direct plug and play, is this correct?

Also, I am not so much loving the exhaust on the car...it is a DC Sports Header into a Omni Test pipe and DC Sports catback....I want to get a decent quieter catback, but for now I just want a cat (hopefully will quiet it down a little-no?). I know I can just take it to an exhaust shop, but I like to work on cars myself and plus I am poor. I was wondering, can I just buy any direct fit cat for what my car was stock? Why is the cat for the DX different than the EX?

yes cluster is plug and play, and the dx cat is right after the manifold and the ex one is under the car, further back

so, since the test pipe is under the car (where I am assuming the stock EX would be) I can buy an EX one and it will work? I haven't even thought about where the O2 sensor is, though

its possible yes, but dont quote me on this i could be wrong cause i have a cx so im not really too sure on that one and there is supposed to be a sensor before and one after the cat
