Cluster?
How do I know if a gauge cluster is good. My brother is putting an SIR gauge cluster in his EK. He put it in and it worked fine but after a while the lights in the cluster didn't work. Now when he starts it, the engine light is suppose to come on right? It doesn't. The trunk light doesn't work anymore either. The rpm doesn't work. How do we know if the gauge cluster is good?

Re: Cluster? (carlos)
Take the cluster out and look at the bulbs. As for the tach make sure the screws in the back are tight. If that does not work check your VSS sensor on your tranny.

well if a bulb is blown, it of course wouldnt light up.
the tach doesnt work? check connections and wires on the plugs in the back of the cluster. otherwise i dont see why the tach would just all of a sudden stop working - unless the needle was broken.

Re: Cluster? (slow ej6)
The VSS sensor is good cause the other cluster worked fine. We checked the wires in the back and thy seem fine. I will check the screws in the back but that only takes care of the tach. I think we'll try it on our cousins car an see if it works if it woks in his car.

Re: Cluster? (carlos)
okay my brother says the cluster is good cause it worked fine in his friends car. The wires have to be wrong. Does anybody have to the pin diagrams showing which color wire goes in which pin in the connector. Its a 96 civic ex. The problem is he had an integra one in there and switched back to the civic but had to change the pins around.

Re: Cluster? (RR98DX)
okay I redid the wires to what that website stated and still the cluster doesn't work. Anybody have any ideas. I know the cluster works(tried it in my buddys car), I know my wiring is good. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks. If you need to see pics of my connectors let me know.
