Default Clunky Idle. Need Help

Just installed new header. I was having somewhat of a odd idle prior to the install, but now it is extremely bad. My rpms range from 900 all the down to 400 and the engine feels like it wants to die. Also in idle I hear an odd popping noise through the whole exhaust system. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it?

I turned the car off and detached the pos cable from the batt. for about 10 mins then let it sit idle for 10 mins w/ out pressing the gas. Idle jumps up and down and also a poping noise going through the whole system. I also removed the heat shield and I still hear it rattleing all over any ideas how to fix these problems?

try adjusting your timing
try the idle adjustment screw on the TB

sounds like timing is off cuz of the poping
