Default clunking/bang sound when braking...

I don't drive a civic but I know this forum gets the most views and the type of car this is shouldn't make much of a difference but just incase its a 92 gsr with a jdm itr swap. anyway when i brake semi hard it makes like a bang/clunk sound and when i slightly brake it sounds like its making a small clicking sound. the car sat for 8 months but it has been driven about 100 miles now. the axles are brand new, i removed abs... I don't know what the sound is and I'm afraid to launch the car until I figure it out so any help would be great.

Torn or popped control arm bushings.

Missing hardware between caliper bracket and brake pads.

Upper ball joint. Grab the steering knuckle and pull back and forth. You don't need to jack it up for this simple test.

I would start by jacking up the front of your car and shaking down the front end.
In other word shake the wheels down on both sides and check for excessive play
in the front end components.
