clock and radio resets

clock and radio resets
i installed a new cd player and forgot to take out the negative from the battery. now they both reset. i checked and no blown fuse. help!

Did you check the underhood fuse box where the backup fuse for the items you are asking about is?
It's a 15a fuse I think.

ok i'll check. how come the fuse under the steering panel's not blown? that's the one that should blow first right?

for EG's is a 7.5 A fuse marked "Back-up"

No. Trust me. I've destoryed mine and pulled it more times than I can count. And yes, now that you said 7.5a, that sounds right.
