I just instulled the energy suspension bushing kit through out my entire car. What a bitch that was, took me 13 hours. Anyways... After everything was put back together, i noticed a click sound comming from the front of the car.

Its not clicking, its only one click. Put car in first gear, take off normal. once clutch in disengaged, it clicks. I can literelly feel it through the floor boards on my feet. And it also happens in once i take off in 2nd gear. I dont really hear it in anyother gear.

Doesnt matter if the car is turned or not. I double checked all bolts in the suspension and everthing is tight. COuld this be axles? I noticed one axle's boot is lose and can slide but nothing major. Boot isnt torn. The tie rods have a little movement but nothing extreme.

How would you correctly check for bad tie rods? If they move at all? How would you check for bad axles if boots are still intact but they do slide on the one side a little and grease is noticeable?

Any input appreciated. I might just go ahead and replace both cause im lazy to do one and find out its the other.

i would say that it is just a result of stiffer bushings

I did the bushings in a friends crx and only thing that changed was vibration, nothing else. no clicks or anything.

does it do it also when you go in reverse (just that one click) and then when you go back into 1st?? your tierods will give you alot of slop in the steering wheel it they were bad, and a ball joint would give you a thud type, from the sounds of it i'd say it was an axle (i've already done both twice)

never tried it in reverse, will check it out..

yeah i do have alot of movement in the steering wheel.. always thought that was the powersteering though

try it when your parked and have someone turn the wheel halfway each way and watch your tires, if they are good it will have NO hesitation

i just had this SAME exact problem. The very top bolt of my rear tranny mount had backed itself out. Put it back in and all was well. Check out your mounts. I also hear the front AC mount had a tendency to go bad causing this problem too.

was it like this before u installed the new bushings?

i had the same problem. on full stops i'd have that clunk. also on reverse.
i replaced the left axle last weekend. clunk's now gone plus moving from full stop is smooth.

have a helper turn the steering wheel back and forth with the key on engine off, put your index finger on top or bottom of the tir rod, same with thumb. if you feel i movement up or down, side to side, replace it.

with your hand, grab the axle next the the cv joint, move it up and down and back n forth, both sides (outer and inner). in and out towards diff and hub doesn't really matter unless it's severe. if theres a lot of play or a click noise that you hear. replace it. a clicking sound on accel, brake could also be a losse motor mount center bolt, torn motor mount or ball joints,
