Default Clicking from brakes when stopping??

Wussup... ok, whenever I stop and I'm almost completely stopped my brakes will start this clicking noise. Can anyone tell me what's goin on? It only happens at low speeds (5-15mph). I had the rotors cut like a month and a half ago... which i think are starting to warp again. I'm an everyday driver and this problem along with others is starting to bug me. I'm a student so I don't have the money to go to the dealer/shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Are you sure it's not the axle?

You might need to replace the CV boots... I would get them checked out...

just my .02 cents.

Take care.

You probably busted a boot. Mine clicks, but the boot is fine. **** it, I don't care.

4doorlx, does your clicking go away once you have the brake pedal pressed down all the way? That's what my 90 civic LX is doing. The clicking will start as soon as I start pressing the brake pedal. Then, when I have the pedal all the way down, like nearing a stop, the clicking will stop. I have no idea what's going on with the car. It's driving me nuts!

I thought bad axles would click only when making turns. Am I wrong? If I am I'll have to check out my axles. Boots are fine - maybe they're just messed up inside.

I also had that problem for a month or so. I recently started auto repair courses in Manhattan and we have skilled instructors there. I asked my instructor a few days ago what it might be and right off the bat he told me it was my brake pads. That same day I drove the the shop and told the mechanics my problem and they took it look at it. Boooyah he comes back and told me they were the pads. 30 mins later there done and I drive away and the clicking noise was gone. I have a 1998 Civic LX 4 door. I hope this helped you here.

Now, is there anyway for me to check myself as to which of the two it is... axle or brake pads?? I just would rather not spend the 70-80 bucks at shop just for them to tell me that. Thanks for all your comments.

Take off the wheel, remove the caliper and check your brake pads.
