check and see if the cv boot is ripped. once it rips grease gets out and dirt gets in, accelerating the go-bad process. check all your other stuff for tightness(tierods, axle itself,swaybar....) does it click when u accelerate in a straight line, or only around turns???

Does it do it going forward just after moving in reverse?

check the A/C vibration mount... if the bolt isn't tight enough, under torque the metal center of the mount gets shifted and makes a big click sound.. . .. at least, that's what happened to me.

damn that noise is annoying. had to put up with that in my old car. Its more then likely the cv joints thats what it turned out to be in mine atleast.

what's the price on changing the CV boot? would it be better if i just swap out the axel/boot?

if it's the inner it's about 8-10bux. If it's the outer, double it cause you'll have to get by the inner to get to the outer. If the axle is in decent shape, it is worth the time and money (not to mention mess) if it's a pretty beat axle... a rebuilt shouldn't cost more than $65-$70

oh. that's just parts.... I can do it for $50 parts and labor to rebuild your axle. or $100 parts and labor for a new one.

Re: Click noise when i accelerate. is it the axels? (1993sir)
if it turns out to be the cv joint is bad- just get a new axle. go to autozone and get the 70 dollar one with lifetime warranty. trust me- it felt soo good to get free axle when mine broke
