Default Cleaning Spark Plug

My friend just put in some NGK V power plugs into his newly built LSV but its all black because he's running rich. My question is could i use break cleaning to clean the spark plugs? He didnt want to do it because he said plugs are new and didnt want to try it because he never heard anyone using brake cleaner before.

Is it ok to use brake cleaner on the NGK plugs?

i wouldn't see why not, as long as they dry. but it would defeat the purpose since he is running rich and they are just going to get black again once they are re-installed.

no don't do it. u are far better off buying new sparkplugs if ur going to even touch them. break clean wont help and if ur running rich it's going to be black again in no time. i would suggest to get it tuned and fix ur running rich problem.

Thanks for replying back. I know he is still trying to get it A/F to balance out.
The plugs have been wipe 3 times now and he said that he will pick up a new set once its ready to go on the dyno. Thanks again guys .
