Cleaning the intake/throttle bodies
wassup,
I just replace the filter on a shortram intake for my B18c1 motor. i was thinking of bringing to a shop to clean the inside of throttle bodies, its $70 for the RUN RITE cleaner including the labor, they will clean everything including the inside of throtlle bodies.. is it worth doing this? or should i just clean it myself.. i know that its kinda dirty already....

Re: Cleaning the intake/throttle bodies (StiF4i)
Just do it yourself with some carb cleaner and a SOS pad. It's very easy. If your map sensor is mounted on the TB, plug it or remove it though. Have some extra coolant handy. Get a TB gasket ahead of time. Check the torque specs.
