just to be on the safe side put the plug ends in plastic baggies to protect them. simple green works wonders on a dirty engine

I used this method....

It really works, it did wonders to my friends engine bay.
**BEFORE**
**AFTER**
note: We stripped the valve cover, some people thought that it took the paint off the valve cover. haha. Good luck!

cover the distributer and your intake, you dont really need to, but just incase some water gets in there

The tire foam thing works... I used to do it on my mustangs all the time. I personally use Spray9 on a dirty engine... then preasure wash it off... then if you want it to shine, attack it with the tire foam (any brand will do, it all works the same)

Before
After
Heres how I clean my engine bay
1. Tape and cover the things I don't want getting wet
2. Spray with water
3. Spray with simple green let sit then scrub where its really dirty
4. Dry with a towel
5. Start engine so the water you can't get to drys from the engine heat.
