Default cleaning engine bay

sup guys, my engine bay is really dirty, but if i try to use simple green it takes some of the paint off, ive tried to dilute it some but im still having a bit of paint coming with it. im going to try my luck with a pressure washer and hope that its not going to pull the paint as well. anyone having the same problem? what did you do to take care of your paint? would using a clay bar work better? thanks.

his main link seems to be dead ive tried the simple green and it wants to take my paint with it. i guess im just gonna pull the presure washer out and scrub it with some soap and a hard sponge. just didn't want to have to get my bay repainted. damn honda and their non cleared engine bays. thanks guys.
