While i was autoxing a friend of mine tht works at a Honda dealership un screwed some bolts on my dizzy and took the cap off and then i dont know where he went from there. but i do know that he got to 2 clips i believe and cleaned them off and my tach worked fine after that, except now its back to acting up...anyone know what im talking about?

Its the contact points inside the rotor cap.
Clean those with an eraser (removes grime and oil) and clean the point of the needle on the rotor. BE CAREFUL!

Dizzies are expensive.

dizzy - 5 letters
distributor - 11 letters

Is it really that hard to type the extra 6 letters? God how I hate hearing distributors referred to with such a stupid word.

I would say just buy a new cap a rotor. Its not that expensive and its probaly easier than cleaning it. Just three screws and a alen screw.
