I've got a K&N clone on my cai and it's looking pretty black.... Can i just blast it with the hose or should I just replace it with another no name cone filter?

I soak mine in simple green, then wash out, then spray out, let dry, spray filter oil on there, let it sit for about an hour, then say screw it for nother 20 thousand miles

10 bucks at pep boys. Only need to clean every 50,000 to 100,000 miles.

Can I use the K&N recharge kit on a non K&N filter?

Looks identical to the ones at my local parts store minues the logo stamped on the end.

Yes you can just make sure your intake filter is made up of the same material as the K&N filter
