Default Clean `95 Civic to 0% gloss Type R style build

Hi guys, so I got this Civic LX Special Edition (Canadian market) with 350k on it for really good price. Except for the thermostat that prevents engine to warming to working temperature car is mechanically in really good shape and could be said well maintained. Not exterior is whole different world, its rusted to hell and I do intend to fix it and paint it 0% gloss black and put red Type R sings on it, also I`m looking into some cool wheels for it, so here`s the deal so far

200$ on auction , parts i use to weld on are old computer cases, pretty thick sheet metal for underneath goes to fill holes, i cut out parts with rust and will use rocker guard and zinc containing undercoating and it should be good for at least 3 years if I miss a spot of rust , I still have to figure something out for the rocker panels, I think I`ll just cut all the rust out and bend metal on it. I`ve made rear right quarter panel from front left fender, arc fits on most cars in X fashion so does this Civic . I`ll keep updates posted, it`s not really fun to work when outside is -35C , garage barely heats up with gas heater

I`ll clarify , I don`t wanna put more then 400$ worth of material into it, paint and primer I`m waiting from the USA with delivery and customs about 170$ , rest of it is fiberglass body filler , standard body filler, zinc containing undercoat, rocker guard sprays etc etc... and it will work, I`ve fixed numerous cars this way, including my daily driver Vigor, no rust reoccurring for a year and half now, and we do have very harsh winters here and roads full of salt

Some patience you have
The rust alone would have made me turn away
I wonder what compression the engine has with those miles?

yeah, it doesn`t bother me, i got a patience but not so much free time, so I do it when I can, no biggy , about compression I had no idea, I don`t have the gauge, but runs strong and has quite a pull when accelerating , cvs are good, there are no weird sounds from engine compartment so all in all looks good mechanically, and I made 3000km with it and didn`t burn a drop of oil

Holy ****, good luck man.

I have a 95 with a small rust spot less than 2" by 1" and I was debating on keeping it haha! Seems like it's hard to find a Civic these days without rust.

I should have taken advantage of living in New Mexico, I've never seen rust on a car there.

Well, one thing in it's favor is the rust deters the eye from all that clear coat damage

Red Type R badges?? I forgot about the illusive 95 4dr. Civic type R that featured a lightened computer case body and a 1.5L non VTEC engine.

@ B serious> it`s about the looks, car itself smokes pretty much any F-150 that revs their V8

A stock 95 LX?

...Whatever you're smoking, please share with the rest of the class.
