Clarification on d vs. b shift linkages, one question
Here's my dilemma.. Im doing a ls/vtec swap into my ej8 and have a question
I have part #12 from my EM1 shift linkage, do I need #13 as well? I've seen the d and b stabilizer bar (thats what I call 13) side by side and they look identical but the pictures weren't that great. I can definitely tell a difference between 12 from d to b.... any help is appreciated. As I don't have 13 from my EM1 I cannot compare for myself and if I did, well I wouldn't be asking this lol
Thanks (and I searched but could not find anyone with this particular question)

Op, you can just use the whole d series shift linkage. It's been done numerous times. People will tell you otherwise, but those are the people that haven't done it themselves and just listen to the garbage that other people post.
But forrealrealz, they are different. They mount differently.

Ok, like i said all the side by side pics had crappy angles and it was hard to tell. I found one local super cheap so hopefully the guy still has it...
I mean I COULD use the d linkage... but its not like its any fun to use

No, you cant use the d. Bends and angles are different. Also the bushings are different. Length is different. Mounting point on the transmission is different. Not even worth it to modify a metal stick when you can buy one.
