Default at civics reliabilty?

I'm just curious,
how long to the automatic transmissions in civics usually last?

i mean there's no clutch to replace right?

since there is a lot of people who drive civics (around here anyways) that last forever, im guessing there tranny's are pretty reliable.

Automatic transmissions are designed to work with the stock internals of the engine. There are plenty of people who mod their automatics, but it's without a doubt safer and better to modify a manual. Especially because manual transmissions are fairly easy to fix, whereas automatics are a terrible mess and costly to repair.

auto trannys have a torque converter, which is pretty much the same concept as a clutch. those can go out after a while
