I just had the battery replaced 6 months ago, but the car decided not to start today. The CD player works, but wont completely turn over. I hear the car trying to turn on, but just wont do it. I also tried a jump, but was not sucessful.

Could it be the spark plugs? It's been about 5 1/2 years since they were replaced, or is it something more serious?

Also, I dont know if this is related, but last week when I was driving, the radio and CD player would turn off everytime I hit the brakes and the ABS light would show up and then go off right away.

Any input would be great since this is my only car I have to drive. TIA

You're not very clear... does the engine spin about like normal, or does it just start to spin or try to, and stop with a grunt?

If the engine doesn't turn normaly, either the battery doesn't have enough poop, or you've got loose or corroded terminals/connections. The connections would be my guess because you state a jump didn't work either (assuming you did it correctly).

sounds like to me that the alternator took a dump on you and drained the battery. i would pull the alternator off and take it in and have it checked out.

Also check your grounds. A bad ground could cause this issue.
