Icon3 Civic Trunk Removal

Hi,

I'm going to paint my trunk black (95HB). How do I disconnect the wires from the tail lights without breaking anything ? ( On the part of the trunk under the window, that opens. Not the ones on the side )

Thanks,

Here's a picture : TRUNK

The panel where you put your key in to open the hatch. I want to paint that thing in black. If you remove it, there's some wires connected to the lights, I was wondering on how to disconnect them without ripping everything apart.

Typically in America we refer to that as the "hatch" and only refer to trunks on a coupe so that might be some of the confusion. I'm not sure on the hatchbacks but you should be able to just unclip the wiring harness for the lights...

My bad, I'm an evil FRENCH CANADIAN ! I'll take a further look at the " direct unplugging " possibility.

I'm not sure, but if you don't see an easy way for something that simple there might not be one.

There can't be too many wires, you could always cut them and splice them together after if all else fails. It would only take a few minutes.
