civic strut bar question
i know this is a pretty stupid question, but how well does the si strut bar work at stiffening the car? i am able to get a great deal on one, but am wondering if i should save for a neuspeed or password bar.

I would say it would be close to the same, the si bar just want be a blangy haha. I am no expert though I have an ITR front sway bar on mine and I like it just fine.
I have always wondered though if there is a difference in performance with the OEM bars that mount to the holes in the shock tower area vs. the bars that bolt directly to the top of the shock mounting area. Anyone have any knowledge on that?

si bar doesn't do very much, but its better than nothing. Most aftermarket ones are stiffer (at least the designs that don't have joints in them).

are they stiffer because of better materials? i would think oem would be as stiff as any aftermarket bar...but maybe i am mistaken.

yup, i agree. i'm sure it's functional, but i'm also sure you won't feel a differance with them installed or not. sway bars help a whole butt load more, if performance is what you're going after.

The difference you feel all depends on what is done to the rest of the suspension. a friend of mine (who has a lot of $ in his suspension) switched from the oem to neuspeed and it made a huge difference, but it was the last suspension piece he replaced.

he had neuspeed race springs, koni yellows, F/R strut bars, F/R tie bars, SRR lower control arms (with the metal bushings), F/R sway bars, H brace, beaks subframe kit, and polyurethane everywhere. I love driving his car, its on rails.
