Civic sputters/bogs at full throttle
Hey whats up. my friend just baught a 95 civic hatch back. it's the non-vtec version, i think it's a DX (It's from Canada and i think they call it a VX there, not too sure)
So today im looking over the engine to see if everythings okay. It has 148K miles on a D series motor. It has a short ram intake, ractive headers, no cat, MSD igniton with a shitty *** MSD blaster coil/wires (doesnt really make a good connection from the coil to the cap) But all cylinder's are getting spark. Now when i give it full throttle right away, the engine will start to bog and sputter down. But if i ease the throttle and slowly raise it, everything will be fine and the engine will rev normally.
His spark plugs looks like they need changeing along with his spark plug wires.
Anyone of u guys know why it's doing this at full throttle? Im guessing that he needs a new fuel filter. He also has a B&M fuel pressure regulator, but i have no idea what his fuel pressure is, we need to get a guage. Im guessing that with new spark plugs and wires along with new fuel filter, it should clear up that sputtering a bit. What do u suggest?

Try a full tune-up. New plugs, wires, fuel filter, pull the injectors and clean the **** out them. If the MSD is f-d up, you should look into fixing that, since that's not OEM (obviously) and that could be your main problem right there.
You don't really know what the hell the previous owner put that thing through, so start off with the basics.

None of that STP bull ****. Unbolt your fuel rail and then pull each individual injector. Then use some carb cleaner and unclog them *****...
