Default Civic sohc- New head or go turbo?

I have a d16z6 that I want to get more out of...My question is should I get the head work done(valve job, throttle, intake manifold, planning to use gude head package) or should I skip that and go straight to turbocharging. Some people say there is no point to head work if you dont build the bottom end also, but gude claims like 40-50% increase in hp in sohc civic's. Please help me make to right call. Thanks

I have heard not so good things about GUDE. You wont see 40% increase with headwork. Go turbo.
