civic si Fog light help!!

Default civic si Fog light help!!

im putting oem foglights on my 00 civic si and when i try to fit the gray outer part, the outside part sticks out. its not flush with the bumper. what do i do????? someone help me.

i dont think its that. it goes in perfectly through the right but the left part pops out.

did you break the plastic tab that clips onto the metal piece ?

no, its still there. that part is the part that goes in perfect , but on the other side its a different story.

I just installed mine, and the same thing happened to me, the little screw fixed it though.

yeah, i keep messing with the little screw but its not fixing my problem.

damn, urs came out clean. u took out the little fins on the side right? i didnt take mine off. could that be the problem?

thx. i bought the bumper like that. i had to imporvise so i molded it in. lol. did you put the 2 metal brackets on the back ? then put the fogs in after that, then the cover ? then put that screw in ?

no, i first put all the brackets that go on the fog lights on. then i attacked the fog light to the bumper with all the brackets already attached. the i slip the cover in

so you put the plastic tab into the metal bracket closest to the center of the bumper and then put the scrwe on ?

yes, it stays on the bumper. the problem is its not even close on being flush. its sticking out about half an inch.

You gotta have your bumper cut pretty much from flang to flange, or where it juts out on top and bottom for lack of a better word. Mine wasn't cut enough at first, and the bezel wouldnt fit in correctly.

no, the brackets are in correctly. i think i cut enough already. it goes in perfect but the screw thats supposed to hold it in isnt going all the way through.

does the plasitc piece sit flush with the metal bracket ? put the screw in without the plastic cover and see if it goes in all the way

yes it does go in all the way. hey, u have turbo? did the fogs inerfere in the way of the ic piping??
