Civic question about seats
Hi!
I'm new to the Forum, have a 1999 gen 6 Civic LX sedan. I commute with it 40 miles a day, 4 day weeks (barring overtime) and tend to run errands and junk with it because I like it more and gets better mileage than our Elantra. That said, I'm too tall for the car, and with some problems with my knee, I need a seat with more support for my knees and thighs. I did search for a post about this, but wondering if Accord seats would bolt in and if they're larger, if they'd fit between the door and console, etc. If I don't hear I might go on my next day off and try and swap some at the junkyard and see if it works and buy an accord seat if it does fit. I know there aren't different Civic seats that generation, I could just have leather if I cared, or lumbar support maybe. What I need is a different pitch in the seat.
Thanks!

Re: Civic question about seats
Yeah the seats and the seating position are both fairly terrible in these. I hope you get some answers, I'd think about doing the same thing.

Re: Civic question about seats
Search, there are several seats, especially front seats that can be somewhat easily bolted in (no welding or special tools.) The Integra ones from a 94-01 coupe will give wider side bolsters. The Del Sol seats for stock are going to sit the lowest, on OEM rails, about 2 inches lower. Makes a good difference if you're tall like me.
the rails get swapped, which are 2 bolts on one side and 3 on the other, not too hard. and your seats remove from the car with 4 bolts each, pretty basic.
