i have a 94 civic ex, and i got this wierd thing going on with the lights. it started with the headlights needing a minute or two to come on in cold weather. havent really figured that one out yet. but more importantly, now there seems to be a short somewhere. when i turn on the lights, i have to be careful and fiddle with the switch so the parking lights come on, then if i'm not just as slow and careful going into the full 'on' position, the parking lights go out when the headlights come on. this is driving me nuts. i just wanted to know if anyone's come across this and if there's a semi-simple fix.

try checking the wire harness could be re-arrange somehow...

thank you so much for the link,, it seems to have worked,,, as far as the interior. i guess i goofed when i took it apart. i wonder, have you done this yourself? because now i really need help. when i took the thing apart, the white part inside the assembly got pulled off and a connector came loose and fell in my lap. this connector is NOT in any of the pictures that were posted with the instructions. i managed to figure out how to put the white part back in and just for kicks i put it back in the car, and everything works smoothly and the dash lights come on right when thery're suppossed to, but the lights outside the car dont. oh, and the turn signals are fine, its just the headlamps and parking lights...
Please, please, please help if ya can.

Woooooo Hoooooo! Nevermind the last post, Relic. i took it back apart and figured it out. not bad for a chick, huh? anyway they're workin like a champ, I can't tell ya how much i appreciate your help.
