Re: Civic Models Question (Tzer)

Let me break it down for you... basically, it boils down to convenience and power options...
EX- top of the line for civics. Power windows, locks, mirrors, steering, A/C, D16(-Z6 for '92-'95, -Y8 for '97-'99. Sunroof, rear disc brakes. Comes in both 2 and 4dr Exterior: Color-matched moldings, license plate housing, and mirrors

DX- No power windows or locks, power steering is an option, A/C, no sunroof, rear drum brakes. Motor is D15B7(?) for '92-'95, and D16Y7 for '96-'98. Comes in both 2 and 4dr Exterior: Black (unpainted) moldings, mirrors, license plate housing.

LX- Basically, the LX features all of the comforts of the EX, but the motor of the DX. Comes only in 4 dr

Si- Only came in '92-'95 model years. Hatchback. Power steering, EX (year sensitive) motor, rear discs, yet no power windows or locks (I think).

Thank you for the fast reply https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Thats a good enough discription for us, Now at least when we're looking in the auto tradiers we'll have somewhat of a clue LOL. I couldn't find that info anywhere online. So I came to the first forum I found that looked active..

I look forward to learning more about Honda's & meeting new friends by visiting the board more often. Maybe soon I can offer help/info as well

Great Board!!

'92-'95 EXs have rear discs if they are CDM.
'96-'00 have rear drums
'99-'00 SIs have rear discs with a B16A2

'92-'00 LXs have everything an EX has but not painted moldings, DX motor, and no sunroof
