Civic Lx Special (Help)
I just bought a 94 Civic Lx special. The only thing I can see that is special about it is the little special sing under the Lx.
Questions :
Does anyone know what Lx stands for.
Is a Lx at the top or bottom of the barrel when it comes to civics
What makes the Lx "special" so special
What kind of mods can I do to this cars engine its a 4 cyl
Please speek in english ... yes im a NEW guy.

Is that good news or bad ? I ment I was "NEW" into modifing cars so small words with no numbers would be good.

ok dude an lx is suposed to be a luxery car. its a nice car to mod... its a mid to high level civic. all civic have a 4 banger. you can do lots fo things to this car. BUT IF YOU WANT REAL HELP, GO TO THE RIGHT FORUM. GO TO THE EG/EK CIVIC FORUM. NOT THIS ONE. THIS ONE IF FOR 88-91 CIVICS.

The LX is pretty much the mid of the pack. DX being the cheapest and EX being the best.
Usually, the LX are meant to be more factory option friendly. They usually come with the same motor as the DX model. But, sometimes they might have a tachometer built into the instrument cluster as the DX does not. Sometimes they come with upgraded wheels where the DX does not. It could be a number of things depending on the year.

Thanks. Does anyone know if I can swap my engine for a vtec modle engine, my car is a 1994 civic dx/lx or something.
The VIN # says its a 1994 HONDA CIVIC DX/LX but the sign on the back says LX
any help on that one ?
And is ther a list of MUSTS you have to do to make your car faster

Yes there is a list: Press harder on the gas pedal. More gas, less brakes. All that other stuff just gets you a better "sound".
Search for "mini me"

Well I knew about that list but one time I added "drink a six pack" in front of "more gas" and got into some troble.
but for real can I swap my engine for vtec or turbo or is there a forum you can piont me to, and as far as the other stuff gos like exsaust and crap whats best, whats worst and does it matter
