Civic with H22? what about shifter inside car?
OK so i have an 1996 H22a in my 93 civic hatch back. I have the shifter from a 1997 prelude in it, but it is too wide for the original boot and cover to fit right on it. I was hoping i could get some ideas on how some people have dealt with this issue. I am making a custom cover from carbon fiber/kevlar, but in case i don't like it i want to use my old stuff. Thanks

I guess it all depends on how the shifter was mounted. If it is not centered, everything else will be thrown off slightly (cup holders etc etc). I had little trouble getting mine back on after the h22 swap. I left one screw out from the four on the cup holder and that's it.

lol i would go H2B if it wasnt so expensive, im getting a new tranny so if anyone has a H2B setup they are willing to sell me for a reasonable price, pm me PLZ...... and CVCRCR99 it looks like you have a 96+ setup. i am workimg with a 1993 hatchback VX. so not same problems, because the 95+ console is a little wider.thanks though for input...
